The Oncology & Immunology Unit (OIU) works efficiently with partners through our leading biology research service platform. We cover all of your research needs ranging from target discovery, in vitro and in vivo pharmacology, and translational research to clinical biomarker testing enabling drug discovery for cancer, autoimmune disease and rare genetic diseases (RGD). Job Location: Chengdu, China

Responsibilities

  • Take the lead for in vivo pharmacology and pharmacodynamics projects for large animals; cooperate with the study director to carry out comprehensive and independent project design, operation and project management based on the client's project needs;

  • Achieve research purposes and support the analysis of the mechanism of action related to drug pharmacology and pharmacodynamics; Solve the key problems during the operation of in-vivo projects and share scientific solutions with clients; Cooperate with other functional departments to integrate resources and complete in-vivo projects in a timely manner, and provide high-quality scientific research data to customers as required;

  • Proactively pursue in-depth cooperation with sponsors or external cooperation institutions, responsible for the development and validation of new large animal disease models, as well as the design of pharmacodynamic in vivo projects and drug screening; review and organize emerging literature and internal data, track the latest research and development trends in the field; actively guide and support the development of new valuable large animal disease models and technical services to meet the needs of the R & D market;

  • Be responsible for the development, training and assessment of operation skills related to projects in the team, especially the establishment and improvement of the strength of the large animal surgery service platform;; Coordinate and support the training of IACUC and editing of SOP in the facility;

  • Be responsible for the performance management, personnel training and technical training of the pharmacology and pharmacodynamics in vivo team; act as a repository of scientific knowledge and support organizational construction including team administration and scientific culture;; Ensure that the working environment of oneself or team complies with safety, health and order, and in compliance with the facility environmental standards and all other relevant internal standards and external regulations of the company.

Qualifications

  • Master's or PhD in pharmacology, immunology, experimental animal science or biological science or related fields, with more than 5 years of industrial or academic work experience in related pharmacology and pharmacodynamic research

  • Profound knowledge background in immunology or immunooncology, and have pre clinical in vivo pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic research experience; IND project application experience is preferred;

  • Experienced in routine operation and certain surgical ability for large animals (canines, swines and non-human primates);

  • Familiar with the development and validation of animal disease models, experience in developing disease models of dogs, pigs and non-human primates is preferred;

  • R & D management experience in pharmaceutical companies or CROs is preferred;

  • Have a certain interpersonal relationship, influence, negotiation and cooperation ability to support the solution of problems during the project operation;

  • Experience in writing scientific reports (such as manuscripts) and oral reports (such as slides and posters);

  • Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of emerging IO treatment strategies and a strong knowledge and passion for immunology and immuno-oncology.
