Position Summary

The position is responsible for leading and implementing pre-sales technical activities (detailed below) and tools to enable the Projects business. The position caters to the market/project needs, by interacting with influencers such as Architects, Consultants, other Intermediaries and Specifiers, through a structured education of codes, standards and product application prowess. The position also acts as a Subject Matter Expert for the Projects Business on matters relating to Architectural Hardware & innovative opening solutions, providing winning concepts, designs and Bill of Quantity (BOQ).

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Manage and actively engage key accounts of Architects/ Government departments/ End-customers

  • Maintain excellent working relationships with consultants to identify new projects and provide accurate, precise and timely information to consultants/architects

  • Select and recommend appropriate solutions including products, budgetary quotes, standards, etc. to the target audience

  • Increase in the Specifications’ funnels made with complete range of ASSA ABLOY products including mechanical, electromechanical, automatics, digital, glass, etc.

  • Input, maintain and analyse the project funnel in the CRM tool.

  • Ensure the submitted specifications are discussed and becomes part of the project tender for future sales generation

  • Conduct regular lunch & learn and training events with Architects and Design Firms on codes, standards, designs and solutions to drive brand awareness

  • Promote the adoption and use of the ASSA ABLOY Openings Studio plugin for 3D door and hardware virtual libraries, specifications, and transfer of project information

  • Gather market intelligence and competition update; provide requisite feedback to the management

  • Closely work and coordinate with the Project Sales team to ensure conversion of specifications into actual sales

  • Strong customer focus

  • Strong drive to deliver high growth

  • Good relationship building and communication skills

  • Good knowledge of MS Excel and PowerPoint

  • Ability to make effective conversations with project owners/architects/Project Management Consultants

  • Ability to learn industry-specific software such as AAOS, QMS, etc.

  • Functional understanding of project business in the building materials industry

    Education Qualification & Experience required:

  • Engineering Degree/ Diploma in Mechanical stream, Architecture or related discipline

  • Familiarity with REVIT or CAD programs

  • Accredited or working towards accreditation, such as GAI will be an added advantage.

  • Preferred knowledge of ANSI / EN HW standards

  • Relevant experience of 8 – 10 years with the similar industry

  • Should be willing to Travel excessively in assigned territory
