Roles & Responsibilities:
- Job Description for Oracle Database Analyst• 5+ years of Experience, Work as Oracle DBA and provide operational support for SAP databases.• Experience in SAP Linux/Unix environments.• Install, Configure, Manage and Monitor Oracle Databases• Performance Optimization, SQL Optimization, Troubleshooting• Data Guard, Backup and Recovery• Scripting and Automation• Performs Oracle database installation, configuration, patching and upgrades in a SOX compliant environment• In-Depth understanding of High Availability and Disaster Recovery requirements and solutions.• Configure and optimize AIX/Linux servers to support Oracle databases• Work with application service owners and technical leads to ensure project and service deliverables are met• Responsible for providing database expertise to project teams to maximize system availability, efficiency, and security• Work with development teams and 3rd party vendors throughout the development life cycle regarding optimal use of database resources and features• Assumes ownership of database related problems; pursues problem resolution and root cause analysis.• Responsible for opening, managing, escalating and resolving SRs with Oracle/SAP Support• Responsible for validating the backup strategy and performing on demand backups and restores• Monitor and support the development, test, and operations architecture of database components associated with the assigned release.• Document database design, setup, and database related items.• knowledge on the ticketing tools and should be well aware about the Service Now Process.• Worked on CPU, PSU related security Patch Management.• Worked on backup and recovery procedures and should be well aware about the retention policy and the maintenance backup pieces.• Administers all database objects, including tables, clusters, indexes, views, sequences, packages and procedures.
