Responsibilities

  • What You'll Do:

  • The Applicant shall support the CH-53 Logistics Team at Fleet Readiness Center East (FRCE) by analyzing and coordinating the ongoing aircraft logistical functions associated with the rework of all models of the CH-53. This includes supervising and performing various tasks related to the development, operation, evaluation, and improvement of the aircraft systems supportability and maintainability of the integrated maintenance program.

  • Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with the FRCE CH-53 aircraft production managers to determine over and above parts/material requirement and assist with obtaining the part/material for aircraft undergoing IMP.

  • Request new required part/material from Marine Aviation Logistics Squadron (MALS) 29, New River NC, for CH-53 Helicopters.

  • Request new required parts/material from Aviation Supply Department (ASD), Norfolk Va., for CH-53 Helicopters.

  • Attend daily aircraft production meetings with FRCE and provide updated status of squadron material and frustrated material.

  • Obtain aircraft status and update stakeholders on frustrated material and delays in aircraft progression.

  • Provide material status and update FRCE leadership with required material updates.

Qualifications

  • Required Experience: At least four (4) years of experience in aircraft life-cycle (acquisition or sustaining) logistics.

  • Required Education / Certifications:

  • BS or BA degree.

  • Allowable Substitutions: (In addition to the four (4) years of aircraft logistics experience).

  • Associate's degree plus an additional five (5) years of aircraft sustaining logistics, and supply support experience that meets the experience requirements for a Junior Logistician.

  • High School Diploma/GED plus an additional six (6) years of aircraft sustaining logistics, supply support experience that meets the experience requirements for a Junior Logistician.

  • Experience:

  • Experienced with Aviation Acquisition Logistics, Supply Support best practices.

  • Exceptional knowledge of Optimized-Organizational Maintenance Activity (OOMA) and Maintenance Control responsibilities at the squadron level.

  • Exceptional knowledge of Aircraft Mission Essential Subsystem Matrix (MESM) and Safe for Flight requirements.

  • Understand the classification of parts and identification of repairable components and consumables and disposition of each.

  • Working knowledge of Naval Aviation Supply System and parts procurement.

  • Working knowledge of FRCE Aircraft Evaluation process.

  • Working knowledge of FRCE Parts Procurement process.

  • Working knowledge of R Supply and MALS/ASD parts ordering process.

  • Ability to manage an ever-changing workload and speak fluently to process resolution.

  • Experienced in communicating with customers, employees, and corporate staff.

  • Experienced in the daily use of computers and computer software programs such as, but not limited to, Microsoft (MS) Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook, and Adobe.
