Confidential Employer Millwork Shop Assembler in Chester, Pennsylvania
Busy small business looking for a talented long-term assembler for our millwork shop. Job duties will range from millwork related activities, assembly, and miscellaneous jobsite duties.
- Work as part of a team having responsibility for assembling an entire product or component of a product. Team assemblers can perform all tasks conducted by the team in the assembly process and rotate through all or most of them, rather than being assigned to a specific task on a permanent basis.
- Help production workers. Duties include supplying or holding materials or tools, and cleaning work area and equipment.
- Drive a vehicle, such as a truck or van (10,000 lbs), primarily to pick up, deliver, and assemble merchandise.
- We are willing to give the training needed to get around the machines in our shop, but general knowledge of machinery operation is an advantage.
- A desire to move up in the millwork industry. Example: running millwork machinery, processing, assembling, installation.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the assembly and fabrication process per direction of Shop Foreman
- Assist in all work areas as required to complete production requirements
- Fabrication and assembly of finished product
- Ability to use computer to create packaging slips
- Load and unload trucks of material needed for assembly of millwork products (forklift experience desired but will train)
- Move raw materials and finished product with hand trucks or forklift
- Works with various assembly production tasks
- Taking in UPS/FedEx deliveries
- Signing packages/deliveries in on ordering log
- Stock completed items in the appropriate place
- Complete and turn in paperwork
- Cleaning, protecting, and wrapping millwork products
- Responsibly loading a truck securely for delivery and assembly
- Assist with Millwork install
- Assist with lay-ups
- Must have valid driver's license
- Must pass DOT physical (driving company vehicle over 10,000 lbs.

Full-time: 4x10hrs, some weekends, overtime
$15.00 - $16.00/ hr.
