Sr Install Technician (Commercial Buildings)

Duration: 6-12+ months contract to hire. Once you convert FTE you get a gas card and a truck so you must have a valid driver's license.

Location: headquarters: 644 Logistics Dr. Cheyenne, WY 82009. (Various projects in Cheyenne)

Interview: 1 Step Video interview

Rate: Depending on years of experience/skillset level 27-33/hour

Schedule: M-F, 8-5pm or 7-4 Flexible

Top skills:

• 4+ years of field experience installing commercial Access Control Equipment such as card readers , electrified door hardware, controller boards, electric strike, mag locks etc. and nice to have experience with software(s) such as AMAG / Lenel / Genetec / Software House – CCURE / S2

• Commercial experience includes: large buildings like warehouses, hospitals, stadiums, and shopping centers (Target, Walmarts)

• 4+ years of field experience installing commercial CCTV cameras, such as Axis, Milestone, Avigilon, Hanwha, etc.

• Certifications not required

  Only need one of the above skillsets and still be considered

Job Duties:

Travel to the job site and work with a team to Install, program, test, repair, and service a variety of non-routine systems and equipment which may include security, fire alarm & life safety. You will be a key interface for the provision of technical support and training for the customer and as such are accountable for maximizing customer satisfaction.

Completes accurate and detailed service reports for customers and Convergint promptly to allow for accurate invoicing and job cost tracking.

Exceptional customer focus and ability to work under pressure; ability to maintain awareness of and seek to meet the needs and wants of the customer without being prompted.

Solid technical skills and experience fire alarm systems, and/or electronic security systems.

Solid programming skills and proven ability to troubleshoot problems and look for solutions

To be a self-starter and work well with minimal supervision.

Solid mechanical and electrical aptitude (e.g. works with a variety of hand and power tools such as drill, screwdriver, wire stripper, hacksaw, crimper) and ability to read blueprints and drawings; solid math skills (for some positions, this may include calculating area, velocity, resistance, voltage, etc.).

Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.

Solid organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

Advanced computer skills including familiarity with MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel) and proficiency in other relevant applications.

A valid drivers license with a clean driving record.

Ability to travel locally to job sites on a regular basis.

Troubleshoot door contact

Troubleshoot open line fault

Troubleshoot shorted line fault

Troubleshoot ground fault

Basic low-voltage electrical theory

Ability to read blueprints and drawings
