Summary:

Summary: The Director of Accreditation is responsible for development and implementation of processes to maintain accreditation readiness for the Liaison Committee of Medical Education (LCME) including revision of medical education policies, routine audits of processes and outcomes, independent data analysis, and generation of accreditation status dashboards.

Required Job Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in industrial-organizational psychology, educational measurement, applied psychometrics, quantitative psychology, or related field

• Experience in medical education and/or accreditation

• Expertise in quantitative data collection, analysis, interpretation, and reporting with strong focus on data quality and continuous improvement processes

• Competence in sophisticated software programs (e.g., software for graphing, presentation, assessment delivery, database management, statistical packages)

• Ability to make data appear clear and accessible to a wide variety of audiences

• Highly attentive to detail and exceptionally organized

• Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate in a professional and courteous manner with medical students, faculty, and staff

• Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, set goals, manage tasks independently

Preferred Job Qualifications:

• Doctoral degree in Industrial-Organizational Psychology, Mixed Methods Research, Sociology, Anthropology, Clinical or Counseling Psychology

• Broad technical expertise in psychometrics, including instruments, processes, and analyses (e.g., blueprinting, item and scenario development, exam administration, standard setting, statistics)

• Experience with qualitative methods to evaluate and improve the performance of individual or system performance

Responsibilities:

• Maintain up-to-date date expertise of accreditation standards and elements

• Manage RMC accreditation readiness database, including project timelines and action items

• Develop and maintain comprehensive system for accreditation documentation

• Integrate multiple data sources, conduct independent statistical analyses, and generate comprehensive data reports to identify potential accreditation risk

• Lead monthly continuous quality improvement reviews on selected element

• Collaborate with key faculty to develop and implement improvement plan

• Develop strategies for and conduct routine audits of UME policies and procedures to ensure accreditation compliance

• Ensure completion of action items identified through accreditation review and audits

• Provide regular reports to the Associate Dean of Educational Quality and escalate outstanding accreditation needs

• Assist the Associate Dean of Educational Quality with data reports for senior leadership

• Ensure completion of necessary annual LCME surveys and facilitate completion of LCME Data Collection Inventory prior to survey visits
