SOX Engagement Manager

Location: Fully Remote

Type: Long-Term Consulting Opportunity

Compensation: $65/hr or greater on a W2 Basis (Negotiable)

Job Overview:

Jefferson Wells is seeking a seasoned SOX Engagement Manager to join our team. This is a long-term consulting opportunity, fully remote, starting in August 2024. The SOX Engagement Manager will be responsible for conducting and overseeing engagements, ensuring the quality of services and products provided to Jefferson Wells clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct and oversee SOX engagements for Jefferson Wells' clients.

  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality services and products.

  • Manage project timelines, deliverables, and client expectations.

  • Supervise, manage, coach, and develop teams of professionals.

  • Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.

  • Communicate and interact effectively with clients and team members from diverse backgrounds.

  • Facilitate meetings and presentations effectively.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in auditing or related area.

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in internal audit and controls.

  • Prior consulting experience mandatory; Big Four experience preferred but not mandatory.

  • Experience in internal controls, fraud risk management, fraud handling, or litigation support preferred.

  • Certifications such as CIA, CPA/CA, CISA, CFA or equivalent, PMI, or advanced degree preferred.

  • Minimum of 3 years project management experience.

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in supervising, managing, coaching, or developing professionals and teams.

  • Strong project management skills.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint (Access preferred).

  • Proven client service delivery and customer service skills.

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, including facilitation and presentation skills.

Skills:

  • Strong project management and organizational skills.

  • Ability to deliver exceptional client service.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint (Access preferred).

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a remote work environment.
