Sargent & Lundy Compensation Analyst in Chicago, Illinois

Description

We are seeking an experienced Compensation Analyst to join our dynamic HR team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in compensation practices, preferably within a professional services firm, and a minimum of 7 years of professional experience. This role is critical in ensuring that Sargent & Lundy remains competitive and equitable in our compensation strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead compensation practices across Sargent & Lundy, ensuring alignment with our total rewards strategy.

  • Ensure internal equity and external competitiveness in compensation programs.

  • Develop and execute strategies for pay transparency within the organization.

  • Utilize salary surveys and conduct market research to benchmark compensation trends.

  • Assist in the implementation of new compensation programs and initiatives.

  • Analyze and interpret complex data to produce insightful reports and recommendations.

  • Conduct job evaluations and job analyses to establish and maintain effective salary structures.

  • Support employee evaluation processes to ensure alignment with compensation strategies.

    This position offers a hybrid schedule, with 3 office days per week and the remainder remote/virtual.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources , Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in compensation analysis, preferably within a professional services firm.

  • Proven expertise in leading compensation practices and strategies.

  • Strong knowledge of salary surveys, market research, and benchmarking methodologies.

  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret and synthesize complex data.

  • Familiarity with payroll processes and systems.

  • Experience with job evaluation and job analysis techniques.

  • Strong understanding of employee evaluation processes and their impact on compensation.

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
