We are seeking a Construction Field Inspector to join our growing team! The field inspector will be a part of the Project Coordination Office (PCO) field team working on construction sites across the City of Chicago. The members of the field team are assigned different regions of the city for comprehensive coverage but may be asked to change regions or assist their teammates in other parts of the City at the request of the PCO Field Team Manager. The Field Inspector will ultimately be responsible for monitoring and documenting the construction activities and progress for a given project to ensure the work is performed in accordance with the project plans and specifications.
Responsibilities:
Provide photos and notes on field conditions.
Review and clean up data within PCO’s mapping platform dotMaps.
Reviews of civil engineering plans (restoration and maintenance of traffic drawings) for the Office of Underground Coordination (OUC).
Assist the project-specific Client Supervisor or other members of the project team with various engineering tasks as needed.
Skills and Experience:
BS in Civil Engineering or Construction Management preferred but not required.
0-3 years experience in the field.
EIT certification a plus.
The candidate may be required to obtain additional job-related certifications as necessary.

Be versatile and service oriented.
Proficiency or familiarity with mapping platforms or dotMaps a plus.
The ability to lift 25 pounds.
