Position type: 3 month contract position
Location: Chicago, IL
Pay Range: \$19/HR - \$21/HR
This position evaluates product, packaging and in-line quality processes; supports same department lab testing of ingredients and packaging. This position reports to the Packaging Supervisor in the Quality Control and R&D group. Knowledge of packaging is beneficial.
Responsibilities
Quantitative and qualitative review of product
Quantitative and qualitative review of packaged product
Verify that product weights and count are being met
Evaluate primary, secondary and tertiary packaging to ensure integrity
Provide immediate feedback to Production and Quality teams
Verify in line processes are operating properly (metal detectors, vision systems, check weighers, etc.)
Collect and organize all quality data and generate graphs and charts for inclusion in monthly QA report
Support and interaction with other functions on Quality team
Desired Knowledge and Skills
Bachelor\'s Degree in Biological or Chemical Sciences
General statistics
Familiarity with MS Office, Oracle
Interpersonal skills
Independent thinker
Basic packaging knowledge
Microbiological and Environmental Monitoring
Understanding of HACCP, GMP, PCQI, etc.
Candidates must have good communication skills and great attention to detail.

PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS:
Pay Range*: \$19/HR - \$21/HR
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate\'s education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
