POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for providing general accounting and internal control support for general ledger calculations, entries and analysis. This includes completion of the close and ensuring that the general ledger account balances are accurate. Responsible for providing management with key analytics and working closely with other departments.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

· Analyze general accounting accounts and ensure journal entries are recorded timely during the month-end close process

· Prepare and record journal entries related to lease accounting, prepaid expenses, foreign exchange, intercompany and other various accounts

· Responsible for completing and reviewing monthly account analysis by reconciling transactions and resolving discrepancies

· Responsible for providing management and regional controllers with account analysis and flux explanations

· Provide key analysis schedules to support the SEC reporting process and earnings release

· Prepares and reviews reports supporting internal and external audits

· Work closely with Treasury, Tax, and Financial Analysis team

· Review and recommend enhancements to the close process

· Strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), general accounting process and internal control elements

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting

• 3 - 4 years of accounting experience required

• CPA or CPA candidate

• Experience in public accounting preferred

• Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills with the ability to create concise, high quality reports

• Experience in accounting and financial systems

• Knowledge of PeopleSoft General Ledger and Oracle HFM a plus

• Advanced skill level in Microsoft Excel a plus
