James Martin Vanities seeks the right individual to fill the Senior National Sales Manager (VP of Sales) role!

The Senior National Sales Manager (VP Of Sales) will develop and implement sales strategies, identify potential customers, lead existing customer and vendor relationships, and supervise customer and competitor activity and industry trends.

Position Details:

  • Reports to the President of James Martin Vanities (JMV)

  • $70 million in Sales for JMV’s multiple distribution channels and direct/indirect oversight of a team of 16.

  • Locations: Ideally, we would love to have this position work hybrid out of our Headquarters in South Bend, IN. However these locations would work well also: Chicago, IL; Charlotte, NC, Atlanta, GA or Dallas, TX.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the JMV sales team with a focus on successful associate development including proactively identifying high-potential talent

  • Establishes and maintains relationships with key customers, including but not limited to Floor and Décor, Home Depot, Lowes, and Ferguson.

  • Works closely with Finance Business Partner to develop, monitor, and implement programs, pricing recommendations, and investments for profitability.

  • Actively participate in developing and implementing annual strategic business plans

  • Manage JMV’s representative agencies to ensure they perform at expected revenue, service, growth, and cost levels. Establish quarterly performance reviews.

  • Develop and implement compensation strategies for the external manufacturer rep network that drive and reward sales growth and gross margin improvement. These include individual development plans containing specific improvement goals to increase the agency/team net abilities.

  • Understand and communicate JMV’s strategic direction and implement sales activities consistent with strategy.

  • Collaborate with key partners to implement strategies, maintaining product, pricing, promotion alignment, and discipline.

  • Work closely with finance, supply chain, and marketing departments to optimize all sales opportunities.

  • Responsible for delivering an accurate monthly forecast for field sales and key accounts and providing meaningful insights on customers and the market.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in Management or combined education and experience equivalent

  • Must have ten (10) + years of experience in sales leadership, rep groups, multi-channel environment, and senior team engagement.

  • Experience selling to builders, cabinet dealers, designers, and showroom consultants, ideally medium to higher end product category.

  • Self-starter, collaborative teammate. Self-motivated with a high energy level capable of maneuvering throughout an organization to achieve results.

  • Experience in the development and execution of strategic business plans

  • Proven track record for identifying and building new business.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills, including communicating with all levels of employees and customers.

  • Maintain up-to-date with all industry trends, issues, and news.

  • Travel up to 50%

Pay Range:

$9,900.00 - $16,133.70

Estimated Ranges displayed are Monthly for Salaried roles OR Hourly for all other roles.

This role is Bonus or Incentive Plan eligible.
