Job Overview

We are seeking Summer Associate to join our onboarding and asset management team that is a part of HUB IT service management and operations. As a Summer Associate, you will be responsible for timely onboarding and offboarding of employees and contractors, maintaining the complete lifecycle of hardware assets within our organization. This includes planning, inventory management, deployment of assets for new hires, tracking, maintenance, and retirement of assets. The successful candidate will have flair for IT asset management, interest in learning, configuring, and using ITSM and Hardware asset management modules of the ServiceNow platform, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize asset utilization and cost-effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

Asset Management:

  • Utilize the ServiceNow platform to manage the complete lifecycle of assets, from procurement to retirement.

  • Design, implement, and maintain ServiceNow Asset Management processes and workflows.

  • Configure and customize the ServiceNow platform to meet the organization's specific asset management needs.

Onboarding and Offboarding:

  • Collaborate with managed service providers to ensure timely onboarding and offboarding of employees and contractors within the organization.

  • Assist in exception requests for hardware and peripherals and manage/resolve escalations the same business day.

  • Assist in automation and process time reduction of standard onboard/offboard activities in ServiceNow.

Asset Procurement and Deployment:

  • Collaborate with vendors/procurement teams to ensure timely and cost-effective acquisition of assets.

  • Develop and implement processes for the efficient deployment of assets to end-users.

Asset Tracking and Inventory Management:

  • Establish and maintain an accurate inventory of all organizational assets.

  • Implement tracking mechanisms to monitor asset usage, location, and status.

Compliance and Reporting:

  • Ensure compliance with licensing agreements and regulatory requirements.

  • Generate regular reports on asset status, utilization, and compliance for management review.

Optimization and Cost Management:

  • Work with IT and business units to optimize asset utilization and reduce unnecessary expenditures.

  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategies to maximize the value of assets.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Collaborate with IT teams, finance, and other relevant departments to gather information and insights for effective asset management.

  • Communicate asset management policies and procedures to relevant stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Working toward a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.

  • Desire to learn the IT asset management function.

  • Prefer experience with ServiceNow.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team and interact effectively with various stakeholders.

Disclosure required under applicable municipal regulations in NY and NJ, as well as the law in Colorado: The expected hourly range for this position is $23 to $24 and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope and level.
