Description

We are offering a unique role for a Tax Manager in the bustling city of Chicago, Illinois. The position involves managing indirect taxes including sales and use tax, VAT, GST, and other applicable matters. As part of a dynamic team, this role provides an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment and contribute to the financial management of the organization.

Responsibilities:

• Overseeing all aspects of indirect taxes, including sales and use tax, VAT, GST, escheatment, and property tax processing.

• Preparing tax exemption certificates and ensuring compliance with all indirect tax requirements.

• Conducting tax reviews for self-assessment, and performing routine month-end close tax balance sheet account reconciliations.

• Providing expertise for Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable groups on payables and receivables in anticipation of new or evolving business practices or tax legislation.

• Supporting indirect tax audits and responding to all regulatory agencies regarding support and documentation requests.

• Executing various accounting functions and auditing tasks as per organizational requirements.

• Ensuring compliance with all relevant financial regulations and standards.

• Assisting in entity formation and managing income tax accounting procedures.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Familiarity with Sage Intacct

• Expertise in Avalara

• Knowledge of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning

• Ability to perform Accounting Functions

• Auditing skills

• Compliance management abilities

• Understanding of Entity Formation

• Knowledge of Income Tax Accounting
