We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Veterinary Technician Supervisor to join our dynamic team at VCA Lake Shore Animal Hospital !
Schedule: Full-time opportunity, 4 x 10 hour shifts.

Job Summary:
The Veterinary Technician Supervisor at VCA Lake Shore Animal Hospital will play a pivotal role in leading and supporting our team of veterinary technicians. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supervising daily operations, ensuring top-quality patient care, and fostering a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement. This leadership role will include mentoring, training, and collaborating with other departments to enhance the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the hospital.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and support the veterinary technician team, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback.
Oversee daily workflows, ensuring that technicians are assigned appropriately for optimal care and operational efficiency.
Assist with training programs for new technicians and continuing education for current staff.
Collaborate with veterinarians, hospital managers, and other staff to coordinate patient care and client service.
Maintain a positive and productive work environment by promoting effective communication and resolving conflicts.
Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety protocols, and veterinary regulations.
Monitor and assist in various technical duties, including patient intake, medical record management, administering treatments, preparing animals for surgery, and post-operative care.
Maintain and manage inventory of medical supplies and equipment.
Support hospital initiatives, including quality improvement projects and client education.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Certified Veterinary Technician.
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Proficient in various technical skills, including but not limited to venipuncture, catheter placement, anesthesia monitoring, and dental prophylaxis.
Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and quality patient care.
Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
