R&D Laboratory Technician

Job Description

Join our team as an R&D Laboratory Technician, where you will be instrumental in supporting the development of various products for the ink industry. Your responsibilities will include preparing samples and small batches, conducting laboratory testing, managing inventory, and maintaining equipment. You will ensure the cleanliness and organization of the R&D laboratories and print areas, following the Chemical Hygiene Plan. Your role is crucial in supporting the product development team by maintaining an accurate and detailed notebook and performing essential equipment maintenance.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Conducts laboratory testing on products.

  • Inventory management of all lab supplies and equipment.

  • Prepares samples and scale-up batches.

  • Purges retains according to retention schedule.

  • Maintains an accurate, detailed, and witnessed notebook.

  • Maintains cleanliness of the R&D laboratories and print areas.

  • Maintains an organized system of storage for consumable materials and replacement parts in the R&D lab according to the Chemical Hygiene Plan.

  • Supports the product development / R&D team.

  • Performs lab equipment maintenance, calibrations, and troubleshooting.

    Qualifications

  • GED or High School Diploma

  • B.S. is preferred, will consider relevant lab experience in place of a degree
