Position : Sourcing Specialist

Location : Cincinnati, OH

Job Purpose :

This position will participate in the sourcing process by completing small scale RFPs and supporting Sourcing Leads on larger sourcing efforts. The Sourcing Specialist helps to ensure Sarbanes Oxley compliance with respect to Sourcing and Purchasing tools and supports reporting and analysis activities, system administration, training, documentation, and special projects for Corporate Sourcing and Procurement. The Sourcing Specialist contributes to continuous improvement in processes, practices, and procedures.

Essential Functions :

• Sourcing Support: Independently completes small scale RFPs in support of the sourcing and contracts function. Works with Sourcing Lead on larger scale RFPs, by gathering data, coordinating supplier responses, or identifying potential sources, for example. May also support Purchasing Lead with day-to-day one-time sourcing needs. Works with Finance support to build business cases for RFP initiatives

• Reporting and Metrics: Maintains monthly internal operating results for Corporate Sourcing and Procurement function. Compiles quarterly spend data consolidation and fields' requests for other ad hoc reports. Works with Sourcing Leads to assemble savings documentation and reporting

• Act as a liaison between the internal stakeholders and vendors

• Process Improvement and Special Projects: Identify process improvements for cost-saving initiatives. Conduct training in deficient process areas in order to increase productivity. Work with vendors and other functions within Corporate Sourcing to streamline manual processes and eliminate handoffs. Seek process improvement ideas from internal customers to increase process efficiency and speed. May include analysis to support new system implementations, or developing new savings metrics

• Analyze strategic value of individual vendor relationships

Education :

Four years of College resulting in a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent

Previous Work Experience :

• 1 to 2 years work experience

• Previous experience in Sourcing, Purchasing, Accounting, and/or Inventory Management functions

• Quantitative analysis experience

Special Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :

• Strong written and oral communication skills

• Strong interpersonal skills

• Experience performing financial and quantitative analysis

• Strong attention to detail

• Strong communication skills and the ability to interact with all levels and functions across the company, as well as external suppliers and customers

• Understanding and commitment to applying quality improvement principles

• Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

• Ability to multi-task

• Understanding of basic accounting and finance concepts
