Job Description

Insight Global is seeking an Accounting Manager for one of our clients in the education management industry. Our client owns and operates schools and educational programs around the world that span the life cycle of a student from early learning to higher education. This role will be hybrid remote, requiring 2/3 days in the office in Parma, OH per week.

As the Accounting Manager, you will report to the Director of Accounting and oversee a team of Senior Accountants and an Accounts Payable Lead. The team size will be anywhere from 6-8 people. This is a hands on management role, with the average day being about 20-30% management and 70-80% hands on accounting work. The accounting work will consist of but limit, overseeing day to day accounting, month and year end closing, bank reconciliations, financial statements/entries, audits and grant funding. On the management side you will be reviewing accounting work, providing mentorship where needed, as well as helping out the team with miscellaneous tasks/work.

Skills and Requirements

- 5+ years of experience in Accounting

- 3 years of experience in a management/supervisory role

- Bachelors degree in accounting/finance

- Experience with Financial Statements, Balance Sheets, and reconciliations.

- Advanced Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPS)

- Ability to work well in a fast paced environment - Grant experience

- Non-profit/education industry experience

- Experience with Great Plains ERP system (Microsoft Dynamics GP) null
