Case Western Reserve University Associate Director of Enrollment Management (Clinical Programs) in Cleveland, Ohio

Job Description   POSITION OBJECTIVE 

The Associate Director of Enrollment Management (Clinical Programs) will serve as a leader of the enrollment management team and is responsible for overseeing enrollment-related initiatives in student recruitment, admissions, and onboarding for Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine clinical and professional programs.

As a key enrollment leader, the Associate Director will design and execute strategies with program and admissions directors to meet enrollment targets. They will lead recruitment initiatives and use data-driven approaches to improve application quality and quantity. Additionally, they will collaborate with University Marketing and Communications (UMC) to prioritize enrollment marketing projects and resources. 

The Associate Director will represent the Enrollment Management team and act as deputy to the Executive Director when needed. They will engage with Graduate Education and School-wide leadership, University faculty and staff, and leaders at affiliates like the Cleveland Clinic, University Hospitals, MetroHealth System, and the VA Hospital, as well as at national events and conferences.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  1. As a leader of the enrollment management team, initiate and actively participate in discussions of emergent issues as well as longer-term plans for clinical program's ongoing growth and development. Provide comprehensive enrollment direction aligning with both the university and school of medicine strategic plan. Serve as lead contact with the university enrollment marketing team for school of medicine clinical programs. Provide enrollment management team, academic program leadership and university enrollment marketing team admissions funnel data, insights and recommendations for approaches to increase conversion rates of prospective students from inquiry through matriculation. Maintain expert knowledge and understanding of the most state-of-the-art enrollment practices. Evaluate the effectiveness of enrollment management marketing efforts and provide analysis and recommendations for improvement to school of medicine leadership. Serve as a member of the enrollment management planning team that meets weekly. (20%)

  2. Partner with university marketing and communications department to inform its efforts to develop multi-channel campaigns that: (a) raise awareness of the clinical programs among potential applicants, (b) highlight the program's most appealing and distinctive qualities; and (c) ultimately inspire them to engage directly to seek more information. Maintain ongoing communication and partnership with the university marketing team to enable timely adjustments to message content and audience targeting resulting in more effective marketing outreach. Advise and project manage communication campaigns, plans, and workflow tasks to achieve enrollment goals. Identify and research relevant university-wide initiatives, faculty research and student's experiences that illustrate compelling reasons for prospective students to apply and enroll. Establish and maintain relationships with School of Medicine leadership, including vice deans, faculty, students, administrators, alumni to aid in developing recruiting content and ideas. (20%)

  3. Responsible for strategic oversight, management and nuanced understanding of all academic program email, short message service (SMS) and event communications out of the Slate Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, Salesforce Marketing Cloud email system, and other relevant enrollment systems, including CAS systems for the clinical programs. Implement and manage enrollment calendar across the clinical programs and report analytics to strategically position high-caliber communications in partnership with the university marketing department.
