The Sherwin-Williams Company Benefits Analyst - Retirement in Cleveland, Ohio

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS: (1) Provide analytical and administrative support for U.S. and Canada savings and pension plans: Reconcile weekly U.S. and Canada Retirement and Savings Plan contributions by comparing payroll data to data provided to vendor partners. Submit weekly U.S. and Canada Retirement and Savings contribution funding requests to Treasury and ensure appropriate fundings to vendor partners are made timely and accurately. Manage Retirement and Savings team email inbox by responding to inquiries in a timely manner and develop tracking system to report on volume and type of inquiries. Communicate with vendor partners regarding daily plan administration decisions and directions. Drive process and efficiency improvements into existing Retirement & Savings operations. Focus improvements on reducing manual intervention and increasing compliance. Draft and maintain standard operating procedures as needed. Prepare annual Pension Investment Plan (PIP) contribution. Draft retirement plan related analysis involving PIP and savings plan contribution projections, retirement experience, and retiree medical statistics in preparation for end of quarter reviews with Finance. Support administration of defined benefit pension plan for collectively bargained employees in compliance with governing plan documents and any applicable bargaining unit contracts. Provide key analysis to support Union negotiations, including review of prior CBA language and coordination with Employer Relations to ensure appropriate bargaining of benefits is conducted. Provide direction to third party call center where retirees obtain pension paperwork and ensure continuous improvement of process and participant experience. Administer the Supplemental Employees Retirement Plan (SERP) including payouts, vendor management and ongoing administration of annual and monthly retirement payments to retired executives. Support various compliance and governance items such as annual valuation support, suspension of benefit notices, Annual Funding Notices, and Summary Annual Reports. Support various annual benefit plan audits (conducted by both internal and external auditors) and other internal control testing of Retirement and Savings vendor partners. Review and update Company and vendor partner data, including project management support for various data cleanup as well as ongoing reconciliations. Support Company training and employee education efforts by presenting at sessions explaining retirement benefits. Represent Employee Benefits Department at Sales Shows and other events as appropriate. Support Retirement and Savings team with employee requests and requests from other departments related to Retirement and Savings plans Support Oracle HR Cloud functional knowledge reviews and updates for Retirement and Savings team. Perform complex analyses of data in the HR Cloud and/or data stored with third party providers support ad hoc initiatives and projects Work with HR Shared Services to ensure audit reports are appropriately managed and maintained, to ensure the Company's retirement process is kept current, and to ensure employee data impacting Retirement and Savings plans is maintained appropriately. Review and process invoices from vendor partners. (2) Provide Project Management support within the Employee Benefits Department: Support benefit interface to vendor partners including rebuilds, upgrades, and other fixes based upon troubleshooting through root cause analysis. Support Employee Benefits communication review efforts to maximize effectiveness of messaging to employees. Represent the Employee Benefits Department as point person for broad Company initiatives (for example, system conversion or upgrades). Support implementation of Company acquisitions, including onboarding of new employees and support of retirement and savings plan mergers. Respo
