Cleveland Clinic Clinical - System Analyst ( Epic certifications and Build experience required, Beacon or Phoenix preferred) in Cleveland, Ohio

Serves as the technical expert on LIS/Beaker Epic module providing guidance and direction to others and resolving complex problems; participates in developing strategic plans for systems/applications. Makes recommendations concerning all of the above based on deep knowledge. Provides input to the manager and leads concerning software evaluations. Provides best solutions to identified needs, meeting operational and business objectives, and technology capabilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Participates in feasibility analysis, estimating, planning, designing, developing, prototyping, building, testing, implementing, quality assurance evaluation and modification of systems/applications. Provides solutions to enhance system functionality.

  • Collaborates with system users and other IT professionals to evaluate, plan, design, implement, and provide ongoing optimization and preventative maintenance support for Beaker/LIS systems.

  • Gathers, validates, and translates technological requirements into design and development specifications while providing Beaker/LIS product management.

  • Analyzes, designs and builds workflows to meet the needs of Beaker/LIS users.

  • Analyzes and diagnoses complex Beaker/LIS related system problems, identifies root cause, and then solves the problem.

  • Coordinates high complexity Beaker/LIS projects

  • Assumes on-call responsibilities as required

  • Other duties as assigned.

Education:

  • Bachelor degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Health Sciences, Healthcare Admin or related clinical fields (lab, nursing, respiratory therapy, etc)

Languages:

  • Language required - NA

  • Language preferred- NA

Certifications:

  • Certification/proficiency in one or more Epic applications required

  • Beaker certification/proficiency or other Lab Informatics System certification required

  • For Information Technology Division caregivers, ITIL Foundations certification is required within 6 months of position start date.

Complexity of Work:

  • Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

  • Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Work Experience:

  • 7 years of system implementation experience, including directing, planning, and scheduling a major information system project.

  • Or 5 years of Beaker/LIS implementation or support experience

  • Senior System Analyst experience in a healthcare setting preferred

  • Offset: Associate's degree and 8 years of system implementation experience, including directing, planning, and scheduling a major information system project.

  • Offset: Associate's degree and 6 years of Beaker/LIS experience.

  • Offset: High School diploma/GED and 10 years of implementation, support and management of computer-based information systems experience preferably in a health care or lab environment.

  • Offset: High School diploma/GED and 8 years of Beaker/LIS experience.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods.

  • Ability to travel throughout the hospital system.

  • Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment.

  • Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information.

Personal Protective Equipment:

  • Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required for procedures.

Pay Range

Minimum hourly: $44.53

Maximum hourly: $67.92
