This role is based in Cleveland, Ohio, and is a hybrid work arrangement - individuals may be required to work some days in the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland while working the other days from home.

Organizational Expectations :

As an Information Security Associate or Information Security Compliance Analyst you will increase and maintain the security posture of the Bank's Information systems by investigating security issues, monitoring compliance with bank policy, and contributing to information security assurance and information privacy, awareness and training, and risk management activities. You will execute assigned standard operating procedures, generate reports relative to the banks' security posture, document procedures and policy, and may recommend improvements. The focus of work for this position will be around Electronic Records Management Compliance, Data Privacy, and security assessments.

General Responsibilities :

  • Works under general direction to administer Information Security-related compliance and privacy activities. Exercises sound judgment in identifying and escalating process deficiencies. Serve as the department contact for assigned routine tasks.

  • Applies general knowledge of industry best practices to make sound decisions on identifying security-related issues and defining security requirements in line with Federal Reserve Information Security Standards.

  • Provide direct support and clarifying guidance to Bank customers – may also coordinate information security consultants.

  • Performs other duties as assigned or requested.

  • Compliance, Privacy, and Records Management activities.

Education and Experience :

Information Security Associate :

  • Bachelor's Degree or,

  • Associates Degree and 3+ years of professional work experience or,

  • Information Security Coding Academy Certification and 3+ years of professional work experience

Information Security Compliance Analyst :

  • Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of professional work experience or,

  • Associates Degree and 5+ years of professional work experience or,

  • Information Security Coding Academy Certification and 5+ years of professional work experience

Knowledge and Skills :

  • Microsoft Productivity Suite knowledge

  • National Institutes of Standards and Technology (NIST) risk management frameworks

  • Information Privacy knowledge

  • Cloud security principles, including DevSecOps

  • Information security principles

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills

Physical Demands and General Working Conditions

Employees typically sit most of the day, work with a computer and may answer/respond to phone calls. Physical movement consists of walking for meetings, breaks, etc. Ability to lift items weighing approximately 20 pounds on a limited basis is required. Employees may be required to travel by car/air.
