Amazon is looking for a PR Manager (f/m) with a strong track record of working in a press office in a fast-paced environment. We are looking for an experienced communication professional who is self-motivated, with high judgement, to support our business in France. The successful candidate will be a member and a key player of the Corporate Comms French team, for the day-to-day running of the media relations office and the lead of proactive communication campaigns. This individual will have extensive experience in dealing with media contacts and national news desks. He will have the ability to not only handle inbound requests but also has the skills to be proactive with media outreach and news generation to maintain a pipeline of positive and engaging stories about Amazon´s work in France across multiple channels. The successful candidate (f/m) will benefit from a highly competitive salary and benefits package.

Excellent writing skills are imperative. The post-holder must think and communicate clearly and be able to formulate a clear viewpoint on complicated issues, creating concise and well-written narrative to express their opinions. The post-holder will develop creative, effective approaches to communications challenges. The candidate will be a natural relationship builder who will have an influential voice and credibility within the organization, and with senior executives. This role will frequently work in cross-functional teams and must be comfortable working across a range of countries, cultures, and business units. The candidate will communicate an excitement and enthusiasm for customers, the Amazon business and brand as a whole, with a special attention to sustainability related matters.

Key job responsibilities

• Running the Amazon French press office including handling of in-bound requests and proactive media outreach

• Managing the execution of corporate communications programs in support of Amazon’s business in

France

• Delivering communications counsel to internal executives on both short- and long-term challenges

and opportunities

• Effectively representing Amazon as a spokesperson with media and other third-parties

• Building excellent relationships with key media and third-parties

• Creating and updating proactive communication materials

Basic Qualifications

· Several years of experience working with journalists in corporate PR or as a journalist

· Excellent communication skills in both French and English (oral and writing)

· Exercise high judgment, particularly in narrow time frames

· Develop creative, effective approaches to difficult communications challenges

· Roll up sleeves and get work done, even when at times it’s outside the scope of the job

· Pay painstaking attention to important details
