We are seeking a talented and innovative Design Senior Manager to join our team, specializing in the creation of unique and attractive stationery products. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong aesthetic sense, and the ability to develop visually compelling designs for our range of pens and other stationery items.

The Design Senior Manager supports the Director of R&D and Innovation in the delivery of global multi-year growth strategies.This role involves developing and strengthening customer centric concepts to life and ensure our products stand out in the market.

In this role you will cover:

  • Concept Development: Create initial design concepts, sketches, and prototypes based on market research and brand strategy.

  • Product Design: Develop creative and practical designs for new pens and other stationery items, ensuring they meet market trends and consumer preferences.

  • User-Centered Design: Focus on user experience and ergonomics to create products that are not only visually appealing but also comfortable and easy to use.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with the teams (Engineering, Marketing, Manufacturing, Etc.) to understand project requirements and deliver effective design solutions.

  • Trend Analysis: Stay updated with industry trends, market demands, and competitor products to ensure our designs are innovative and competitive.Make proactive proposals reflecting trends of the Consumer-Packaged Goods industry and other product ranges, show awareness of technologies, materials & processes

  • Prototype Development: Work with engineers and production teams to develop prototypes and oversee the transition from design to manufacturing.

  • Feedback Implementation: Incorporate feedback from stakeholders, customers, and focus groups to refine and improve designs.

What you'll bring to BIC:

  • Education : Bachelor’s degree in industrial design, product design or engineering, Master degree preferred.

  • Experience: 7-10 years of Design experience in Global Consumer-Packaged Goods company. Familiarity with sustainable design practices and materials. Experience in designing ergonomic products.

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator), CAD software, and 3D modeling tools. Knowledge of manufacturing processes – especially injection molding - is a plus.

  • Creativity: Strong creative and innovative thinking abilities, with a passion for designing functional and aesthetically pleasing products.

  • Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Fluency in English is required. Ability to work on cross-functional teams and influence without authority

  • Independent Work: Ability to work independently and demonstrate leadership qualities in driving design projects.

  • Time Management: Efficient and effective with time management, ensuring timely completion of projects.
