Full Time, Part Time, Per Diem available.
Job Summary: In accordance with the organization’s mission, vision and values, the Environmental Service Technician performs general and detail cleaning of patient and non-patient areas. Observes professional standards, standard procedures, and safety precautions at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:Preferred high school diploma or equivalency. Basic computer skills required in order to maintain electronic work order tracking system. NYS Driver’s License strongly preferred.
Job Requirements:
Duties:
Performs work according to standard procedure and by building's operational schedule to maintain assigned areas in a clean and sanitary condition.
Cleans rooms, hallways, restrooms, offices, stairways and windows as directed by Supervisor.
Uses brooms, mops, and floor equipment to sweep, mop, strip and wax floors.
Uses vacuum cleaners and/or shampooer to clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and blinds.
Refill supplies and remove trash and replace trash liners.
Washes walls, ceilings, woodwork, windows, doors and sills.
Incorporate Safety into all aspects of work. Complies with infection control protocols. Properly uses chemicals including storage and dispensing. Uses “wet floor’ signs properly.
Opens and closes building according to security procedures.
Completes assigned tasks in a timely manner.
Reports work accomplished orally or on written work order to supervisor.
Follows all applicable safety rules and procedures.
