Job Description:
The person hired for the position of Systems Technician will work at our 3M Clinton, TN Site.
Responsibilities/ The Impact You Will Make in this Role:
As an Off-Shift Systems Technician you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:
Program/troubleshoot PLC software and hardware.
Interpret PLC ladder logic & machine sequence of operation.
Troubleshoot/repair/maintain robotics systems.
Troubleshoot/diagnose/repair production equipment.
Perform preventive maintenance tasks.
Perform preliminary equipment inspections, run conduit, and terminate wiring, install pneumatic lines, perform Point-to-Point wiring verifications.
Calibrate weight systems, transmitters, transducers, indicators, readouts, and tune control loops.
Create/modify a spreadsheet, database for historical trending, and word-processed database.
Maintain a safe work environment.
Perform housekeeping tasks.
Assist in check out, debug and start-up of new equipment as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Your Skills and Expertise : To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
Required:
High School Diploma
Possess a one (1) year technical diploma/degree or higher in a Mechanical, Electrical/Electronics or Maintenance discipline from an accredited institution or three (3) years of experience in Maintenance.
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
Desired:
Possess a two (2) degree in a technical field.
Ten (10) years of experience in Maintenance
Experience with Allen Bradley software: RS Logix, Control Logix, Factory Talk ME, Guard Logix
Experience with servos and motion control devices.
Experience with installation, set-up, and maintenance of Robotics: Kuka and Fanuc Robots
Experience with the operation of chillers, boilers, air compressors, and pumps.
Strong verbal, written and electronic communication skills.

Pay Transparency:
The starting rate of pay for this position is $ 34.49/hr ., with the potential to reach $38.62/hr. This targeted compensation range represents a good faith estimate and can vary based on factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
