Snowflake Inc. Senior Software Engineering Manager - Snowpark in Clyde Hill, Washington

Build the future of data. Join the Snowflake team. We're hiring a talented Senior Software Engineering Manager to help us build a world class developer platform to fuel the Snowflake Data Cloud. As a Sr. Software Engineering Manager in Snowpark team, you will lead and expand our distributed engineering team. Together with industry-wide experts in distributed systems, cross-cloud development and engineering excellence, you will evolve Snowflake to grow into a fully fledged Application Platform. Snowpark is an interface to Snowflake in different language environments, but also a platform that customers and partners build exciting applications on. Your team will build the backend infrastructure to host user code onto Snowflake Data cloud in a performant, scalable and secure way. OUR IDEAL MANAGER WILL HAVE: 7+ years of software engineering management experience. 2+ years of experience of managing other engineering managers and leaders. Strong passion for making developers highly productive. A passion for technology and end-to-end ownership mindset to support your engineering team wherever needed. Excellent problem solving skills, and strong CS fundamentals including data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems. Excellent interpersonal communication skills. Outstanding written and oral English language skills. Ability to work on-site at our San Mateo or Bellevue office. BONUS POINTS FOR EXPERIENCE WITH ONE OR MORE OF THE FOLLOWING: Experience building compute infrastructure at large scale. Experience working with developer SDKs, APIs and client libraries. The following represents the expected range of compensation for this role: The estimated base salary range for this role is $235,000 - $368,000. Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Snowflake's bonus and equity plan. The successful candidate's starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location.
