Job Type: Full-time with overtime

Experience: 1 year preferred (Will train)

Reports to: Foreman, no supervisory responsibility

Wage: $23 per hour (based on experience and qualifications)

Job Summary:

A dump truck driver is not your typical driving position. Experience short-haul delivery, be home every night, and be an integral part of exciting projects building roads, bridges, houses, commercial buildings, and everything in between. Primary Responsibilities:

• Perform maintenance on assigned trucks and other equipment as required.

• Complete pre and post-shift inspections and assist with maintenance or repair of equipment as needed.

• Record any maintenance issues in the truck logbook and ensure the supervisor is aware of any maintenance issues that would inhibit work production or create safety concerns.

• Process the required paperwork throughout the day (time reporting, truck reports, scale tickets).

• Visually inspect the mix for proper materials, verify the load size to the ticket, check for the proper slump, and adjust accordingly.

• Deliver concrete or other products using the most efficient route as directed by the Dispatcher or Plant Manager.

• Must clean out the box, and fuel truck, clean truck, and complete end-of-day truck inspection.

• Maintain vehicles in a clean, organized, and safe manner.

• Team player mentality and eagerness to cross-train on topics such as dispatching, batching, mechanics, etc.

• Willingness to perform duties outside the normal scope of work as this job description is non-exhaustive.

Position Requirements:

• Consent to authorization of a pre-employment work screen, Motor Vehicle Record request, and drug test.

• Class A CDL and current Medical DOT card.

• Mechanical background and skills

• Possess excellent communication skills and understand instructions in both written and verbal forms.

• Dependability and reliability by showing up to scheduled shifts on time and being prepared for work.

• A positive attitude is critical to ensure productive working relationships with co-workers and management.

• Continuous exposure to weather elements including heat, cold, noise, dusty conditions, and working outdoors.

• Overnight travel is not standard but may be required.
