Directs high functioning team of machine builders and assemblers, drives lean management and continuous improvement initiatives.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS

  • Follows all policies and guidelines regarding workplace safety and product quality.

  • Coordinates team activities sets daily expectations for safety, quality, scheduling, and costing.

  • Understands established quality standards and performs quality checks per work instructions.

  • Identifies root causes and trends of issues/problems in work areas, communicates information to support/empower work group and initiates action plan to resolve issues

  • Coordinates activities for training of team as directed by supervisor, including maintaining training matrix.

  • Utilizes MS office products to document and track improvements.

  • Leads by example, mentors, coaches, and teaches

  • Bend/manipulate air lines, assemble conduit and wiring

  • Able to build complex machinery representing a variety of product lines

  • Subject matter expert – must possess knowledge and communication skills to answer inquiries from plant engineers, customers, field service engineers, and other stakeholders.

  • Enter work hours in ERP system (Currently SAP), if applicable to site

  • Completes required documentation relative to production and quality

  • Drives continuous improvement process and conducts daily housekeeping/5S audits to ensure continuous improvement activities.

  • Update and redline drawings as required

  • May read and interpret blueprints (product specific)

  • Maintains equipment and area in a clean safe condition

  • Take care of internal and external customer needs and expectations

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Required:Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience required

  • Demonstrated ability to lead a workgroup

  • Must be able to clearly communicate

  • Must understand and apply all applicable piping codes and requirements

  • Have working knowledge of MS office products & ERP system

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints

  • Proficient in the use of hand tools

Salary range:

$45,500.00 - $72,500.00
