Northrop Grumman Space Systems – Launch and Missile Defense Systems has an exciting career opportunity for a Principal Configuration Analyst – Network Configuration Analyst III (24-204) to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be in Colorado Springs, CO.

Position Overview:

The Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program integrates the Missile Defense System. It is a vital operational system that enables the U.S. president, secretary of defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and operational levels to systematically plan ballistic missile defense operations, to see the battle develop collectively, and to dynamically manage designated networked sensors and weapons systems to achieve global and regional mission objectives. C2BMC supports a layered missile defense capability that enables an optimized response to threats of all ranges in all phases of flight. C2BMC is the force multiplier that globally and regionally networks integrate, synchronizing autonomous sensor and weapon systems and operations to optimize performance. C2BMC is integral to all system ground and flight tests, which verify and exercise all current and future missile defense system capabilities.

In this role, the candidate will serve as a Network Configuration Analyst responsible for planning and implementing the C2BMC Network's data management and configuration management processes and releases based on the customer contract requirements. There is a critical need for someone with current and extensive experience in GitLab .

Essential Functions:

  • Experience as a Configuration Analyst focusing on managing configurations, document development, data analytics, and other data management functions.

  • Experience with managing large data repositories of documents and folder structure.

  • Experience tracking the progress of program documentation and release documents that follow program requirements.

  • Primary Network Configuration Analyst supporting the C2BMC Program.

  • Will execute configuration management utilizing tools such as Gitlab.

  • Assuring proper documentation, training, and reporting is provided.

  • Will be responsible for executing data management utilizing existing program tools, which include documentation, training, and reporting.

  • Responsible for facilitating relevant meetings and review boards.

  • Establishing and following CM/DM processes throughout project life cycles to maintain consistent configuration control, developing, operating, and maintaining CM database and other process management tools.

  • Experience with CMMI Configuration Management Processes.

  • Experience supporting the formal delivery of the Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL), which consists of scheduling, reviewing, and delivering to customers.

  • Experience and familiarity with network communication, IA-related equipment, and data flow.

  • Experience maintaining the Hardware Configuration Management Plan, configuration item(s), change control, status accounting, and audit verification.

  • Experience in a DoD environment with prior C2BMC program experience.

Basic Qualifications:

If applicable, please note your updated security clearance and IAT/relevant certifications on your resume.

  • An active Secret clearance is required to start with the ability to obtain Top Secret clearance.

  • Must be a US Citizen for consideration.

  • 5 years with a Bachelor of Science from an accredited college in a related discipline; 9 years’ experience in lieu of a degree.

  • Must have extensive and current experience with administering GitLab.

  • Experience with Data Analytics.

  • Experience with COTS products - Jira, Confluence, or Nexus

  • Must be an effective communicator with excellent writing and presentation skills using Microsoft Office products, especially PowerPoint and Visio.

  • Must assist with release management when required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active Top Secret clearance is highly desired.

Additional Northrop Grumman Information:

Salary Range: $80,600 - $121,000

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
