Leidos Quality Assurance Engineer in Colorado Springs, Colorado

Description

The National Security Sector of Leidos has a career opportunity for a talented Quality Assurance Engineer to support our MW/MT program. This position serves as the member of the project team with the responsibility to ensure the highest quality service is provided to the customer through the performance of regularly scheduled internal process audits, process documentation/control and the consistent facilitation of structured improvement activities. The successful candidate will be an agent for change, possess high energy, have a passion for quality, and be self-motivated. The environment demands the ability to quickly establish working relationships with coworkers/customers.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support and Maintain ISO 9001:2015 certification on the program

  • Manage program instantiation of the Quality Management System

  • Perform continuous product and process improvement activities

  • Deploy and implement appropriate QMS processes

  • Implement audit practices for internal processes and products

  • Ensure adherence to all standards, Leidos policies, and best practices

  • Support the development of performance metrics

  • Track, analyze and report to program management on trends found in the performance metrics

  • Provide the program manager with timely metrics and audit outcomes to gauge progress towards quality objectives

  • Report to higher level management on Quality Achievement and act as liaison for enterprise quality initiatives for the program.

  • Review and submit contract deliverables

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BA or BS degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline and 4-6 years of relevant experience or Masters with 2-4 years of prior relevant Quality Management experience in Systems Engineering environment. Years of experience may be used in lieu of degree.

  • Ability to multi-task, complete tasks without direct supervision, and function in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

  • Excellent verbal and written skills

  • Proficiency with MS Office Products (Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, & Project)

  • Ability to support limited local and domestic travel

  • Ability to be approved for a Secret clearance

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experienced with Agile SW Development

  • Certified Lean Six-Sigma Green or Black Belt

  • Formal auditor training

  • Experience auditing to external quality standards such as ISO9001/ISO20000/CMMI

  • Experience managing and developing performance metrics

  • Experience with Military Logistics and Testing Projects•

Pay Range:

Pay Range $68,900.00 - $124,550.00

Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
