As a Swim Instructor/Lifeguard/Deck Ambassador, you will be on the front lines of our life-saving mission. You'll be responsible for delivering our proven and progressive swim instruction, ensuring the safety of our swimmers, and fostering a supportive community within our facilities.

How You'll Contribute:
By providing gentle, progressive swim instruction tailored to each individual's pace.
By being an ambassador of safety and a proponent of our school's core values.
By working closely with our Operations Manager to ensure a seamless experience for our customers.
What You'll Do:
Lead and instruct swim classes for a range of ages and abilities, following our established curriculum.
Manage day-to-day operations in the pool area, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment.
Engage with parents and guardians, offering feedback and fostering a community of care and success.
Requirements:
A commitment to our mission of safety and community service.
Comfort in the water and a willingness to complete our instructor training program.
Availability for flexible scheduling, including evenings and weekends.
Preferred:
Experience in teaching, coaching, or childcare.
Current lifeguard certification or the ability to obtain one through our training.

Compensation: $15.15 - $16.00 per hour

While we teach swimming to people of all ages and abilities, most of our students are preschool and elementary-aged kids. Our instructors should like working with this age group and be good at making parents feel comfortable. It's helpful if you have experience with children or in a child-focused job, but it's not required if you can show the right attitude. The job comes with specialized training in our advanced and unique British Swim School approach.
We also have exciting opportunities with our Customer Service Team, even if you're not in the pool. These are the people committed to providing the best service in the industry. In these roles, you might talk to parents on the phone or by the pool. Wherever you are, the aim is to make everyone feel like part of the British Swim School Family as we focus on ensuring the “Survival of the Littlest.”
