You can contribute your unique experiences and background to build a community that fosters mutual respect and meaningful relationships. * REPORTS TO:* Energy Marketing Manager STATUS: Non-Exempt _ *PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT *_ We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Energy Sales and Delivery Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving sales of our energy products and services, managing client relationships, and ensuring the efficient delivery of energy solutions. This role requires a deep understanding of the energy market, excellent sales expertise, and strong logistical skills. _ *ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS *_ * Adheres to and supports the company credit policy, checking the credit history of the patron before making a sale and explaining the policy to new customers. * Identify and pursue new sales opportunities in the energy area. * Promotes the use of FS credit / Agri-Finance as a sales tool. * Develop and maintain by providing value-added energy products, services, and recommendations to patrons and prospective customers. * Utilizes target marketing and professional sales techniques, including the FS sales interview road map, energy management programs, emphasis on appropriate features and benefits, and contact management system when calling on patrons and prospects. * Provide customer service using tank maintenance programs, oil testing programs, etc. * Prepare and present sales proposals, contracts, and negotiations. * Achieve or exceed sales targets and performance metrics. * Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, addressing inquiries and resolving issues. * Follows up on all customer complaints, seeks solutions in a timely manner, and seeks a “win/win” resolution. * Conduct regular customer meetings to assess needs and provide updates on products and services. * Develop long-term relationships to foster customer loyalty and retention. * Oversee the scheduling and logistics of energy product deliveries to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment to customers. * Records sales or delivery information on daily sales. * Collects accounts as needed according to credit policy. * Monitor delivery performance and implement improvements as needed. * Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive landscape. * Develop and implement sales strategies to expand market share and drive growth. * Provide insights and recommendations to management based on market analysis. * Submits required reports promptly as requested by supervisor and communicates activities in trade territory regularly. * OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS * * Responsible for maintaining the assigned vehicle according to company standards, adhering to the uniform policy, and maintaining the appropriate professional image. * Provide assistance to other departments on an as-needed basis and continue to support all other areas of our business when all other assigned work is complete. * Performs all other duties as assigned. * REQUIREMENTS * * Educations and Experience * * Associate’s degree in Business, Marketing, Energy Management, or a related field. * Proven experience in sales, preferably in the energy area. * Strong understanding of the energy market, including renewable and non-renewable energy sources. * Understanding of all energy products along with sales ability/persuasiveness, face-to-face selling skills, assertiveness, tenacity/persistence, resilience, competitive adeptness, creditworthiness, and product proficiency. * Demonstrated math skills and the ability to calculate discounts, interest, percentages, etc. * Functional Competencies * * Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. * Results-oriented with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets. * Ability to develop and maintain strong client relationships. * Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software. * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. * Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment. * Team player with the ability to work independently. * Core Competencies * Demonstrated core competencies, including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision-making, and skill development. * Other Requirements * * Normally requires an Energy Management Specialist (EMS) certification or the ability to obtain one to demonstrate advanced energy sales training and experience. * The Propane Specialist must obtain CTEP certification from the Missouri Propane Gas Association within three (3) months of employment. It is strongly preferred that the Propane Specialist lives within the geography assigned when the employment opportunity is presented. * Must be able to obtain and maintain a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Hazmat endorsement. * Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record. * Must be able to travel independently and overnight. * Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events. * Must be willing to work hours beyond those considered “normal.” * Frequently exposed to extreme weather conditions.
