This position is on site in Columbia, SC

1. Ensures that information security functions are completed in accordance with established policies/procedures/standards, government regulations, and emerging security alerts. Integrates changes into current practices.

2. Provides operations and engineering support for critical security systems and services, including firewall, IPS/IDS, endpoint security, computer forensics, vulnerability/penetration assessment/mitigation, and security event management (SIEM).

3. Designs, deploys, validates, and supports effective security solutions that provide complete coverage and protection.

4. Recommends, schedules, and performs maintenance/upgrades on security systems to minimize impact to members and employees.

5. Assists the Director of Information Security in evaluating and selecting new information security software and hardware.

6. Responds to requests, provides assistance/technical support, and troubleshoots/resolves problems in a timely manner. Maintains open communication with users regarding questions, problems, project status, and deadlines.

7. Reviews security logs daily. Analyzes, responds to, and remediates security incidents or suspicious activity.

8. Develops/maintains/updates information security policies, procedures, processes, diagrams, etc. as necessary.

9. Designs and conducts training program for annual corporate-wide security awareness training.

10. Assists with Physical Security systems.

11. Conducts periodic reviews of existing security policies and procedures to ensure maximum efficiency and service delivery and makes recommendations for modifications as needed. Seeks better methods to accomplish department goals.

12. Provides assistance with complex information security activities and problem resolution.

13. Prepares various types of correspondence, completes/creates required reports/records accurately and promptly, and performs other administrative duties as necessary.

14. Keeps supervisor informed of area activities and any significant problems or concerns.

15. Assists area personnel and other departments/branches as needed.

16. Develops and maintains effective working relations with coworkers, vendors, trade professionals, suppliers, and other business contacts.

17. Keeps work area(s) clean, secure, and well maintained.

18. Stays abreast of information technology, information security, and business trends.

19. Maintains confidentiality of information in accordance with policies.

20. Completes special projects and other duties as assigned.

21. Maintains regular work attendance.
