This role will be responsible for leading the performance measurement and optimization efforts spanning the delivery of technology services to internal and external customers. Additionally, they are responsible for investment and budgeting activities for technology operations within SitusAMC. They will work closely with stakeholders, technology teams, and vendors to ensure that technology operations are effectively delivering services that meet or exceed business expectations. This role is primarily a results-oriented individual contributor role who must work effectively with senior management and executive stakeholders to ground their decision making in empirical evidence and help grow trust in SitusAMC technology delivery.

This role is a critical member of the Technology Operations Team. This team is an enabling body which supports SitusAMC technology delivery, and this role focuses on enabling measurable, predictable, and continuously improving technology delivery. This leader will work collaboratively with stakeholders, technology teams, and vendors to evolve standard measures, analyze the results of the measures, optimize technology performance based upon performance data and aligned to business objectives, and continuously improve technology operations processes.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Monthly performance dashboard content by IT department is updated daily

  • Processes to monitor performance, identify improvements and track progress are in place and conducted monthly

  • Performance dashboard engagement and monthly performance review engagement reviewed quarterly with TOO Director and CTO

  • Dashboards are sufficiently accurate and current to enable timely decisions about the status of work and achievement of key performance indicators / service level agreements

  • Monthly executive reporting exists and can be accurately produced within 3 business days of month end

  • Performance Measurement, Reporting & Optimization: Develop, implement, and make visible performance measurement frameworks and processes to monitor and optimize technology operations and service level agreements. Identify areas for improvement, develop recommendations for improvement, and work with appropriate stakeholders to implement changes to optimize technology performance.

  • Business Alignment: Work closely with business stakeholders to ensure that technology operations measures are aligned with business objectives, and that technology services are effectively meeting business needs.

  • Process Improvement: Continuously enhance and analyze performance measures to determine areas for improvement to processes, practices and team makeup related to technology operations and collaborate with the governance or tooling teams to implement these improvements.

  • Investment and Budgeting: Manage the technology operations budget, including forecasting, tracking, and reporting on budgetary performance. They will work with stakeholders to identify and prioritize investment opportunities, develop business cases, and secure funding to support technology operations initiatives.

  • Economic-Based Decision Making: Work with SitusAMC stakeholders including Financial Planning & Analysis and Data Reporting & Analytics partners to create conditions which empower all levels of the technology organization (i.e., executives, managers, and delivery team members) with access to data to make economic-based decisions critical to their own job roles.

  • Monthly Executive Reporting: Develop monthly executive reports that conform to requirements set by the Finance Department for monthly management business reviews. Collaborate with the TOO Director and CTO to ensure the reports support the vision of the CTO with compelling narratives.

  • Other activities as may be assigned by your manager

Qualifications/ Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Decision Sciences, Data Science, Information Technology, Business Management, Industrial Engineering, or related field.

  • Minimum of 12+ years of industry and/or relevant experience, typically with 2+ years in a VP level role or external equivalent.

  • Five to seven years’ experience managing technology operations performance measurement and optimization, as well as investment and budgeting activities.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve issues quickly. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders, technology teams, and vendors.

  • Knowledge of ITIL and other IT service management frameworks.

  • Experience with one or more business measurement frameworks such as the Balanced Scorecard or Objectives and Key Results, and their use in establishing and delivering results that meet or exceed performance targets

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain reporting dashboards that integrate content across source systems of record for time accounting, service request management, and software development (e.g. agile lifecycle management).

  • Strong project management skills, including project planning, budgeting, risk management, and team management.

  • Familiarity with business architecture, business capability modelling, performance management of business capabilities, and business case development for business capability investment decision making

  • Experience with vendor management and contract negotiation, particularly in ways which impact delivery progression against business commitments

  • Experience with analytics tools and technologies used to create dashboards, including Tableau, Microsoft Excel, SharePoint, and Azure DevOps. Experience with analytics programming languages such as Python or R is preferred.

The annual full time base salary range for this role is ($150,000 - $180,000). Specific compensation is determined through interviews and a review of relevant education, experience, training, skills, geographic location and alignment with market data. Additionally, certain positions may be eligible to receive a discretionary bonus as determined by bonus program guidelines, position eligibility and SitusAMC Senior Management approval. SitusAMC offers PTO and paid holidays, the terms of which are set forth in the program policies.
