ManpowerGroup Senior Electrical Engineer in Columbus, Indiana

Our client, a leader in power solutions, is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join their team. You will need a solid understanding of functional safety of machinery. This refers to the selection, installation, and configuration of protective devices and related control systems used in machinery to protect people from injuries. You will need to understand the hazards and risks associated with manufacturing equipment. Advanced knowledge and experience in the evaluation of safety related control systems is a must.

Job Title: Senior Electrical Engineer

Location: Columbus, IN

Pay Range: $35 - $40+ / hourly

What’s Needed?

  • 4+ years of electrical and mechanical engineering experience.

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering

  • Strong technical knowledge of automation and control systems

  • Extensive experience leading and participating in machinery safety and conducting machine safety

  • Any holdings of machinery safety certifications are a PLUS

  • ISO 13849-1 o ISO 13849-2 o IEC 62061 o ISO 12100

  • Capability in performing safety system verification and validation.

  • Basic understanding of the control of hazardous energy/Lock out – tag out

  • Project management skills
