Summary of the Laundry Attendant position:
- Location: Columbus, Nebraska
- Schedule: Monday - Friday, 6 AM - 2 PM
- Pay: $14.68/hour
Responsibilities of the Laundry Attendant: The Soil Room Operator is responsible for the initial processing of incoming soiled textiles and garments. Key duties include:
- Sorting and categorizing laundry by type and degree of soil
- Operating conveyor belts and sorting machinery
- Ensuring proper handling to prevent cross-contamination
- Maintaining a clean and organized work area
- Adhering to safety and sanitation standards
- Working efficiently to meet production targets
This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience in a similar setting is preferred but not required.
Requirements for the Laundry Attendant position:
- Fluent in English
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy items
