Mettler Toledo LLC Material Analyst in Columbus, Ohio

Our Opening and Your Responsibilities The Material Analyst is responsible for planning and procuring material in support of our Warehouse and Operations. Responsibilities include product planning, scheduling, and procuring material to ensure product quality, delivery, and cost standards supporting the profitability and viability of Mettler Toledo. Other responsibilities include: Maintain purchase orders based on vendor acknowledgements, and follow-up with vendors on open orders (incl. material expediting) Review purchase requisitions, and follow-up on required approvals, unassigned sources, and incomplete requisitions Pro-active management of past due purchase order lines Manage subcontracting and vendor managed consignment inventory (VMCI) processes for assigned materials Communicate vendor issues to strategic Buyer/ Category Manager Track supply and stock situation; take corrective actions if necessary, and provide suitable information to internal customers (may use missing parts database to provide information) Maintain SAP material master data related to purchasing (MRP1-4) to ensure compliance of Lead times, MOQ, Rounding values etc. Active inventory management by determining appropriate Safety Stock levels to ensure high service levels and optimized inventory levels. Analyzing of SAP MRP exception messages to react to changing material requirements (quantity, requested availability dates). Delay or expedite deliveries if necessary. Material price discrepancy resolution (1st level) Resolution of blocked invoices due to quantity, price, or freight cost Maintain Purchase Info Records and Source list for materials supplied by assigned supplier base . What You Need to Succeed A Bachelor of Science degree in Business or a related field is required.
