What's the role? Mechanical Assembler is required to work with Hilti installation products and modular support solutions. This position will work closely with other assemblers to connect components and construct ISB (Integrated System Business) systems. Must be able to read blueprints, know how to use a variety of hand and power tools, measuring devices i.e. measuring tape /calipers, and be able to stand for extended periods. Duties include assembly, disassembly, re-assembly, fabrication, repair, and/or inspection of mechanical systems. Who is Hilti? Produce components by assembling parts and subassemblies. Read and decipher schematics, blueprints, and assembly instructions. Position or align components and parts, either manually or with hoists. Use hand tools or machines to assemble parts. Conduct quality control checks; test and inspect components for uniformity and quality. Clean and maintain work area and equipment, including tools. Prepare work to be accomplished by studying parts lists and gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials. Position parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements. Assemble components by examining connections for correct fit, fastening parts and subassemblies. Resolve assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications, notifying supervisor to obtain additional resources. Last year, 89.2% of all first-year hires stayed with the organization. What you need is: Mechanical and technical skills; experience with modular support systems for pipes, ventilation, sprinkler, electrical and seismic applications is a plus. Focus on quality control and attention to detail. Dexterity and hand-eye coordination, including the ability to grasp, manipulate, and assemble parts and components that are often small.
