Compensation: Competitive Pay Work Schedule: 8:00am-5:00pm Monday through Friday, with up to two days per week remote work opportunities. General Summary Grades 312 or 311: Under the direction of the portfolio manager, International, conduct macroeconomic research and assist in managing the currency hedging program. Conduct research and make investment recommendations for the international portfolio based on fundamental security analysis. Summary of Responsibilities Grades 312 or 311: Analyze fundamental macroeconomic data on developed economies and factors such as central banks' policies, balance of payments, geopolitics, valuation, momentum, portfolio and investment flows, and positioning that drive currency markets and make appropriate recommendations with a goal of meeting the long-term performance objectives of the total fund. Assist portfolio manager in executing currency forwards for various portfolios and monitoring these forward positions until expiry. Assist in Foreign Exchange (FX) forwards' settlements and collateral posting process. Monitor regulatory and compliance issues related to currency hedging policy. Analyze fundamental macroeconomic and market-related country data on assigned countries and recommend appropriate country allocations. Analyze fundamental industry and company data, including but not limited to, examination of accounting, financial and competitive factors on assigned international regions. Advise State Teachers Retirement System of Ohio (STRS Ohio) portfolio managers regarding the investment merit of individual securities and industries. Summary of Qualifications Grades 312 or 311: Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in business administration, economics, statistics, finance, applied mathematics or related field required. Master's degree with an emphasis in business administration, finance or a quantitatively oriented field preferred. Five to eight years' experience in analytical investment research position required; currency related experience preferred. (Grade 312) Three to five years' experience in analytical investment research position required; currency related experience preferred. (Grade 311) Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Charterholder preferred. Ability to independently conduct research, analyze trends, model proforma financials and make recommendations to other members of the international equities team required.
