Job Description SUMMARY: The Supply Chain Administrator improves the efficiency of operations through data collection and analysis. The position requires excellent attention to detail, superior Excel skills and exceptional analytical and communication skills. They will use interpersonal and problem-solving skills to gather data and information from stakeholders and will recommend ways and business rationale for improving operations. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties. * Review and analyze course customization material requirements for creating/eliminating SKUs and BOMs. Calculate the impacts of these changes on inventory spend and warehouse kitting operations. Based on operational and financial impacts, recommend any changes to the request. * Set up required SKUs and BOMs and communicate impacts to forecasting, procurement, kitting, and merchandizing teams. * Calculate, analyze and communicate daily returns and identify trends in customer return behaviors, warehouse processing times, average pallet values, and probability of meeting month, quarter, and annual returns targets. Recommend best course of action when targets are not being met or are being exceeded, balancing inventory need with budget impacts. Communicate rationale behind recommendation. * Analyze, process, and review daily and weekly freight invoices calculating average package cost per student, per account each week. Identify and report week/week or year/year exceptions. Work with other Operations team members to reduce freight cost per unit and recommend changes. * Evaluate, negotiate, establish, and maintain relationships with shippers for timely, efficient, and cost-effective freight scheduling and movement, with an eye toward decreasing unit costs and improving customer experience. * Analyze, process, and review monthly warehouse invoices and identify trends in expense categories at each warehouse and investigate exceptions. Evaluate and escalate cost trends that do not match forecast. * Handle and resolve all materials shipping escalations, ensuring that customer's issue is resolved, and business owner/reporter are kept informed. Analyze root causes behind escalations, recommend changes where practical to eliminate the issue. * Collect data from outside vendors and prepare and report it to finance, such as reclamations freight allowances, quarterly in transit shipments, and weekly warehouse metrics. * Review purchase orders, providing updates to accounts payable on a bi-monthly and monthly basis. Receiving purchase orders upon the approval and request from buyers within the organization. * Participate in and lead, as necessary, internal and external meetings. * Other duties as assigned. Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no formal supervisory responsibilities. MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: * Associate degree * Three (3) years' experience in Inventory Management and analysis OR * Equivalent combination of education and experience Certificates and Licenses: None required.
