About the Role

Co-Ex-Tec is looking for a high-energy, accounting and finance oriented individual to join the accounting team as General Accountant. They willprovide day-to-day financial support and assist the finance team during the transition to SAP.The role includes covering tasks for team members involved in the SAP transition, participation in SAP meetings, the creation of work instructions, and other ad-hoc tasks. The successful candidate is a self-starter who is detailed oriented and unafraid of working with high volume of data.

Your Responsibilities

  1. Handle routine financial transactionsand provide support to finance team that is involved with SAP implementation duties. These would involve completing weekly bank reconciliations, cash flow, expense reports, and payroll journal, and other tasks when needed.

  2. Provide support to the finance team by covering tasks for team members focused on the SAP transition.Participate in meetings related to the SAP implementation to stay updated and contribute to the process.

  3. Create and maintain work instructions and documentation related to finance processes, especially in the context of the SAP transition.

  4. Ensure accurate and timely financial record keeping.Assist in managing the daily operations of the finance team, facilitating smooth workflows.

  5. Generate financial reports and summaries as required by the finance manager.

  6. Help with data migration and validation tasks as part of the SAP implementation process.

Who we are looking for

  • Secondary School Diploma, or equivalent

  • Post-Secondary Education, preferred

  • Minimum 2 years accounting experience, preferably in the automotive industry with extensive AP experience/exposure

Your preferred qualifications

  • Sound computer skills, including knowledge of software in current use; strong ability in word processing and spreadsheet software; strong data entry skills; SAP knowledge an asset

  • Basic knowledge of General Accounting Principles

  • Well-developed communication, organizational, interpersonal and analytical abilities
