The Snap Communications team is responsible for conveying Snap’s mission, vision and values to core audiences within our community, which include Snapchatters, advertising partners, content partners, creators, investors, policymakers,consumers and Snap team members. This passionate team works hard to show the world what makes Snapchat the best platform for communication and storytelling, and to ensure the narratives about the company, its people, and its products are accurate and compelling.

We’re looking for a Communications Manager, to join our EMEA communications team and lead our Communications in the Nordics (focusing on Denmark, Norway and Sweden)!

What you'll do:

  • Design and deliver strategic and creative communications activities that drive awareness of our company, product innovation, value to advertisers, cultural relevance (sport, fashion, entertainment) and safety initiatives.

  • Work with the Nordics GM and leaders across Snap’s Nordics marketing, policy, talent partnerships and product teams on long term campaigns and tactical activity.

  • Build strong relationships with our global communications team to activate global stories and share local best practices.

  • Handle reactive issues with support of senior team members in EMEA.

  • Establish and maintain relationships with key reporters, influencers and commentators across tech, business, lifestyle and consumer audiences in Denmark, Norway and Sweden.

  • Develop and translate, press and social materials, brief spokespeople for communications opportunities.

  • Brief and manage our communications agency to support our efforts and lead an "always on" press office that supports our business goals.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Strong command of the media, creator and cultural landscape, with a broad network of contacts across tech, business, lifestyle, consumer media and influencers.

  • Intellectual curiosity and a willingness to experiment in order to learn and identify creative solutions.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Ability to build relationships cross-functionally and across different time zones.

  • Ability to balance critical thinking with tactical execution and attention to detail, in the face of frequent inbound enquiries and other requests.

  • Excellent news (and overall) judgement, as well as exceptional writing and communications skills.

  • Fluent Danish speaker.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of professional experience working in a communications role or related field.

  • 8+ years of experience in communications (in-house and/or agency).
