The Role

We are looking for a Strategic Vendor Manager to join our fast-paced, high performing team in Cork. This individual will be an integral part of the Procurement team and support other cross-functional teams. The person will be proficient in vendor management, negotiation strategies, contract execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead supplier engagement processes including conducting vendor due diligence, RFP, negotiations and vendor management across a variety of categories – with a focus on indirect categories such as Marketing, Finance or Engineering.

• Collaborate with business owners to develop accurate scopes of work which includes gathering product and service specifications; implement supplier management programs to ensure continuous improvement and monitoring.

• Support business owners in navigating downstream processes such as working with Legal through the contracting process and Finance to ensure accurate allocation of costs and timely payment of suppliers.

• Support the execution of spend management projects that accomplish key objectives. Those objectives may include savings, operational improvement and supplier consolidation or diversification.

• Proactively manages upcoming contract renewals and negotiations.

• Supports activities related to procurement companywide policies and procedures.

• Conduct spend analysis and develop a sourcing roadmap.

What you bring to the team

• Proven procurement experience.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Supply Chain

• Strong negotiation skills in securing specific vendors and key contractual terms & conditions.

• Ability to analyse data and effectively communicate interpretations and recommendations.

• Thrives in a work environment that is fast paced, dynamic and constantly changing.

• Highly organised and detailed, with strong multi-tasking skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication ability
