Universal Health Services OFFICE COORDINATOR HOME HEALTH in CORONA, California

Responsibilities

FULL-TIME OFFICE COORDINATOR MONDAY-FRIDAY / 8:00AM - 5:00PM

Located at Corona Regional Rehabilitation at Magnolia Facility in Corona, CA

Reporting to the Program Manager, this position acts as the information resource for all customers entering Program. Completes the admissions process for the program and determines if the patient has the appropriate orders/authorizations to participate. Analyzes patient accounts for billing and assists patients/visitors with inquiries. Performs secretarial and general office work. Prepares statistical reports and records data. Assist with screening calls and inquiries. Assists Program Manager with administrative tasks as assigned. Southern California Home Health and Hospice (SCHHH) shall recognize key Service Excellence standards that are designed to provide the optimum in service to our customers. Each employee is required to make a commitment to demonstrate these critical behaviors and incorporate them during daily interactions with customers .

The tradition of caring that culminated in the establishment of Corona Regional Medical CenterĀ® began in 1965, with the founding of Corona Community Hospital. Since that time the hospital has changed to meet the needs of the rapidly growing community. Corona Community Hospital merged with Circle City Medical Center in 1992 and the resulting entity became Corona Regional Medical Center. The merged hospitals are now a 238-bed community hospital network comprised of a 160-bed acute care hospital and a 78-bed rehabilitation campus. It is certified by The Joint Commission, employs more than 1,250 trained healthcare workers and has a medical staff of approximately 347 physicians representing more than 40 specialties.

Qualifications

EXPERIENCE:

  • Prior Admitting experience required

    EDUCATION:

  • High School Graduate or equivilent required.

    CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES:

  • Assaultive Behavior Management Training required within 90 days from date of hire

  • Current BLS

    OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Demonstrates knowledge and ensures compliance with The Joint Commission and Title 22 standards and guidelines.

  • Demonstrates compliance with hospital policies and procedures at all times.

  • Ability to set priorities and appropriately organize workload and complete assignments in a timely manner.

  • Demonstrates ability to relate to clinical personnel and medical staff, as well as ability to interact well with the public.

  • Must have knowledge of PC and applications.

  • Excellent clerical skills required

  • Knowledge of the legal and technical aspects of Admitting, third party insurance, and scope of responsibility in treating indigent patients required.

  • Excellent understanding of HMO, PPO, Medicare and Medi-Cal and MIA reimbursement and payor criteria required.
