Purpose of the Job:

As Vice President of Learning and Development, you will elevate employee performance across the company by designing and delivering impactful training programs and learning solutions. Your role involves assessing developmental needs, curating tailored learning opportunities, and implementing innovative educational strategies that foster our culture and enhance performance.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute department strategy that aligns with organizational goals and KPIs.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects, programs, and initiatives to ensure overall department success.

  • Serve as a learning consultant to senior management on initiatives regarding training requirements.

  • Ensure strategic use of learning technology to provide better efficiency and effectiveness of learning.

  • Develop and report on key learning metrics to demonstrate learning effectiveness.

  • Collaborate with organizational leaders to prepare staff for upcoming changes affecting their roles.

  • Serve as the central coordinator for seminars, management meetings, and educational programs.

  • Develop and manage certification programs that enhance job skills, sales effectiveness, and product knowledge.

  • Regularly update staff using various communication methods such as meetings, emails, and the intranet, ensuring information accuracy.

  • Partner with HR to develop programs and initiatives that drive engagement and foster a strong culture that reflects our core values and philosophies.

  • Create dynamic training materials using diverse media and teaching methods.

  • Mentor and develop the Learning and Development team’s skills through targeted coaching and training.

  • Expand the influence of the Learning and Development department with train-the-trainer programs, involving subject matter experts across the organization.

  • Negotiate contracts to ensure the best pricing and value.

  • Oversee the implementation and maintenance of a Learning Management System to monitor and report on staff training.

  • Uphold ethical standards and integrity, ensuring all staff do the same and providing avenues for reporting concerns.

  • Maintain confidentiality of all employee training records and sensitive information.

  • Ensure accurate record keeping for all learning solutions to include any areas that may be subject to external audit.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Industrial Relations, or a related field, or equivalent teaching experience.

  • Minimum of seven years’ experience in a corporate training environment with at least two years in management.

  • Demonstrated leadership ability, including mentoring and change management.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word).

  • ATD Certification preferred.

  • Excellent presentation and writing skills.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of training methodologies and tools.

  • Experience managing DEI programs preferred.

Physical Demands:

  • Regular need for manual dexterity (e.g., keyboard use).

  • Frequent sitting, standing, walking, and reaching.

  • Occasional need to lift/move items up to 15 pounds.

The pay range for this position is listed above. Our pay ranges are designed to allow for candidates with various levels of experience and skill to be considered, and to allow room for growth to be achieved in a role over time. Generally, new hire salary offers fall within the minimum to midpoint of a pay range for many candidates. Any offer extended to a candidate will be based upon their individual combination of experience, knowledge, skills, and education as well as internal equity.
