Job Title: CAD Designer

Job Description

We are seeking a CAD Designer to create and modify 2-D CAD models that clearly represent design intent to support custom product orders. The role includes maintaining high standards in model and documentation creation, assisting in validating engineering requests, and providing CAD data to cross-functional groups. The CAD Designer will also perform comparative checks, organize documentation, and assist with project schedules. Additional responsibilities include updating 3-D engineering documentation, developing visualizations for customer presentations, and creating basic prototypes.

Hard Skills

• Proficient 2D drafting skills

• Basic 3D solid modeling CAD skills

• Basic design fundamentals

• Working knowledge of Product Data Management systems

• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite

• Microsoft Project Management tools

Soft Skills

• Ability to maintain high standards and best practices

• Strong organizational skills for documentation

• Capability to assist with scheduling and timetables

• Strong interest and aptitude in technical or scientific fields

Work Site

This is a hybrid position requiring some days on-site in Cottage Grove, Minnesota and some days remote.
