Description

SAIC is looking for a Supply Technician in Crane, IN to support the U.S. Navy.

JOB DESCRIPTION

This position performs technical supply management work (e.g., inventory management, storage management, cataloging, and property utilization) related to the Airborne Electronic Attack (AEA) Systems Sustainment Branch.

Job duties include:

• Maintain records for requisitioning, receiving and storing supplies/repair parts/equipment

• Oversee stock maintenance at or within prescribed levels and establish or adjust stock levels and reorder points using standard formulae and prescribed procedures

• Conduct physical inventories and adjust and/or maintain inventory, stock, plant, or property account records

• Receive and screen lists or other documents specifying supplies or materials needed for work operations, and collate and assemble lists of equipment and parts needed for acquisition plans

• Prepare, edit, and process requisitions to stock, commodity control, or other appropriate supply organizations

• Prepare RFI (request for information) to gather information from potential suppliers

• Process documentation for stock item receipts, maintain such items in a supply room, issue material to work center personnel, keep local stock records, reorder when stocks are low or at a specified reorder point, prepare standard reports, and perform related stock receipt, storage, control, and issue functions for expendable and non-expendable items

• Perform data entry to query and enter information for supply, acquisition, and inventory purposes

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS

• Associate's Degree in related discipline and at least 2 years of related experience; OR High School Diploma or equivalent and 4 years of experience

• Must be able to obtain a Secret Security Clearance; Interim Secret needed to start

• Working knowledge of computer systems and integrated software application programs (Microsoft Office)

• Excellent communications and analytical skills

• Must be detail-oriented and able to work under deadlines

DESIRED

• Experience with databases at NSWC Crane (SWMS and ERP)

• DD Form 1149, Requisition and Invoice Shipping Document experience
