Key responsibilities * Conduct regular inspections of hazardous waste accumulation and satellite areas and work to identify and address potential environmental and/or safety hazards. * Recycles all coolants and other shop fluids per prescribed recycling methods. * Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly inspections. * Engaging and communicating with Waste Vendors to arrange waste collection. * Actively participates in company-sponsored training programs. * Completes additional duties and projects as assigned. * Complies with FMP -016 level two. [WAC-173-303-330] * Other preventative maintenance tasks as required. * Limited supervision. Receives general guidance from EHS Specialist. Most instruction given verbally. * Responsible for scheduling inbound/outbound vendors in timely manner to remain within EPA and Ecology guidelines. Qualifications * High school diploma or general education degree (GED). * Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. * Ability to read, comprehend, and follow comprehensive written and verbal instructions. * Ability to maintain a high degree of mental concentration to interpret and act upon a wide range of situations. * Good verbal communication skills. * Ability to stand, use hands and fingers for fine motor skills, and reach with hands and arms. * Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. * Occasionally required to climb or balance. * Regularly lift and/or move up to 30 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 70 pounds.
